Our Story
Every great space has a story. Ours began with family.
Long before Public Affair opened its doors, this building was built by our family as the neighborhood Dairy Queen. It became a place woven into the memories of our community, and into the story of our own family.
Years later, after seasons of change and uncertainty, we stood together inside the empty building and asked ourselves what came next. Before a single wall was rebuilt or a single shelf was installed, we joined hands in the middle of that space and prayed. We asked for wisdom, for purpose, and for the opportunity to create something that would once again serve our community.
Today, Public Affair represents the next chapter in our family's story. While the business has changed, our commitment to this community has remained the same.
Every Detail Has Meaning
If you look closely at the mural on the exterior of our building, you'll discover pieces of our story woven throughout its design. The classic Chevrolet carries my father's initials on its license plate. The rainbow honors a dear friend we lost too soon. Mount Cristo Rey stands quietly in the background as a reminder of the faith that carried us through this journey. Even the soft-serve swirl serves as a subtle tribute to the building's beginnings.
Every element was intentionally chosen because every detail tells part of our story.
Built With Intention
Public Affair was never created to be just another dispensary.
From the custom shelving and handcrafted finishes to the lighting, wallpaper, hardware, artwork, and decor, every detail was intentionally chosen to create a space that feels warm, inviting, and thoughtfully curated.
For us, design was never just about aesthetics. It was about creating an experience. We wanted every person who walked through our doors to feel comfortable, welcomed, and confident from the moment they arrived.
Every decision was made with care because we believe the environment is just as important as the products we offer.
Hospitality Begins the Moment You Walk Through Our Doors
Whether you're visiting for the first time or you've been with us from the beginning, our goal is always the same, to make every visit welcoming, informative, and enjoyable.
We believe every customer deserves personalized guidance, honest recommendations, and the opportunity to ask questions without ever feeling rushed or intimidated.
Cannabis is personal, and no two customers are exactly alike. That's why we take the time to understand your goals and help you find products that best fit your individual needs.
We hope every guest leaves feeling more informed, more confident, and excited to come back.
Rooted in Community
For decades, our family has been part of this community, and serving our neighbors has always been important to us.
Whether we're supporting local schools, giving back during the holidays, or simply building relationships with the people who walk through our doors each day, we believe being locally owned means being actively involved in the community we call home.
We're proud to continue serving the community that has been part of our family's story for generations.
Thoughtfully Curated. Deeply Rooted.
